I wanted to express my gratitude for the exceptional care I received at SGMC’s Pearlman Cancer Center.

“Being diagnosed with breast cancer can be scary,” shared Regina Williams, a patient at SGMC’s Pearlman Cancer Center.  Williams was diagnosed with breast cancer and referred to Pearlman Cancer Center for her chemo and radiation treatments. Williams also shared, “The moment I walked through the doors,  Yolanda, the receptionist at Pearlman Cancer Center, greeted me and she told me, ‘We will take great care of you.'”

The Staff at Pearlman Cancer Center did just that – took great care of Regina. She will always be grateful for the exceptional care she received and the ability to be treated in her hometown. “I’m glad I did not have to travel to receive my treatments,” stated Williams. Her family members were able to show their support by attending treatment sessions at the Cancer Center with Regina.

When asked why she gives back, Regina’s answer was simple, “I want to ensure that other patients have the option to receive exceptional care, close to home during a life-changing medical experience.” Now a cancer survivor, Williams host’s an annual fundraising cancer awareness luncheon at her home to celebrate her milestone. She hand prepares the delicious meal and desserts for her guests. Proceeds from her fundraiser support the Foundation’s Partnership Cancer Fund which provides financial assistance to cancer patients undergoing treatment with medically related expenses.
